I’m not exactly sure why we had to head back so fast, but that’s what happened. C was working on a project, so we stopped for a few days here and there and then spent some long hours on the road in between.
Bullhead City, Arizona
Since C’s M&D used to winter in Laughlin, NV, we stopped for a few nights at Davis Camp. We could see the Riverside Casino down the river from our campsite. Also, filled the propane tanks at the Riverside Resort RV Park.

In Transit
We headed over to Flagstaff, AZ, for a quick refill on C’s addiction to Chick-fil-a’s Diet Lemonade and then on east along I-17. There’s something about this stretch of highway that, for the last three times C has travelled it, it was time for an emergency bathroom stop. C was especially grateful I was along this time since the Petrified Forest National Park Visitor’s Center was closed. She want me to warn anyone to be careful using the women’s handicapped stall.

The plan was to stop in Santa Fe, but C fell asleep while J was driving and we ended up in Las Vegas, New Mexico and boondocked in a Love’s Truck Stop. C had more work to do, so they lingered for breakfast, finding Charlie’s Spic & Span on Yelp. Starbucks coffee and the Green Chile Stew Burrito made C quite happy.
Next overnight stop was another Love’s Truck Stop in Dodge City, KS after catching sight of the farthest northwest tip of Texas and passing through the western panhandle of Oklahoma.
Nebraska
Another hard drive found us in Osceola, Nebraska taking advantage of one of the two campsites in the city park. Drove around the town square for a quick photo with the water tower before heading to Columbus for a short visit with C’s mom.

Then a few nights parked in front of C’s brother’s house in Lincoln for Prime Rib dinner the night before Thanksgiving.
Iowa
Thanksgiving morning, we drove from Lincoln, NE, to Burlington, IA, to park at J’s sister’s house for a few nights. C had to pick up some Taco John’s ground beef taco meat to throw in the freezer and deliver to her sister, another family addiction.

In Transit Again
After leaving Iowa, we made it to Indianapolis, Indiana, and stayed at the Indiana State Park Campground for two nights since C had work to do. Not a bad place to hang out when work is the priority. The park had a holiday light display that looked pretty cool.

One more stop at a campground along I-70 in Ohio.
Maryland
We made it to C’s sister’s where J’s car was parked for a one night stay.
Virginia
Then a week in Williamsburg, Virginia at C’s timeshare. I got to visit all three spots in the Historic Triangle.

West Virginia

I don’t like snow.
