The final Utah national park lived up to and exceeded expectations.

I had fun driving through the historic tunnel that required a special permit and fee. C was a bit nervous, but I thought it was pretty cool. We found another living room rock for a lunch break after going through the tunnel.

C had read about the Angel’s Landing hike and heard about it from H.R. during her hike at Arches. While only a half mile hike out and back, the actual Angel’s Landing hike consists of a treacherous ascent and descent. But, getting to the trailhead consists of a three mile hike up more than 2,000 feet. C’s set the goal to make it to the trailhead and she’s pretty proud of her accomplishment. The Angel’s Landing hike itself will wait for another trip.
These pictures help to show the scale of C’s accomplishment. I’m impressed. From above, notice the parking lot below where the other pictures were captured.
This is where I hung out all day. C came back exhausted and looks forward to coming back to explore some of the other hikes in the park.
