We boondocked a few nights on this little piece of virgin prairie. C seems to have a special connection to this peaceful place on earth.

After a few miles on country gravel roads and sitting under some trees for a few days, I need a bath.

C’s mom wanted to see the Mignery Sculpture Garden in Bartlett, Nebraska. They had a nice afternoon’s drive and C came back with a bunch of pictures.
Spent a week with C’s mom.
The Loup Power District’s hydroelectric system consists of a canal and two reservoirs. We took advantage of the free camping with power hookups at Loup Park / Lake Babcock.
We stopped at J’s sister’s for a few days. There’s nothing like farm fresh eggs for breakfast.
C visited her friend M.M. and had a nice walk at The Morton Arboretum.
C has big ideas. Chicago, Nebraska, Denver, Yellowstone, and then I don’t know where. She’s still hoping that her October Hawaii trip works out but is starting to have doubts.
The first night out, on our way to Chicago, we stayed at Pokagon State Park near Fort Wayne, Indiana. Definitely wouldn’t mind staying there again. No tattoos, but some nice pictures.

Spent a few days in the home port to prepare for my first big cross-country journey. Picked up a local tattoo.

From the beach to the mountains. It was a rainy weekend with outdoor cooking. Good thing we brought the canopy. It’s a messy campsite trying to dry a few things out.

We stayed at Misty Mountain Camp Resort near Charlottesville, Virginia. C visited Grand Caverns in Grottoes, Virginia with K, C.E., and R.E.
