Kayak, Snorkel, and SCUBA!!!

Trumpet Fish

C abandoned J at Lazy Lakes one day and headed over to Bahia Honda State Park where she rented a kayak for a few hours then spent a few hours snorkeling. She came back with a sunburn! Silly girl.

The next day, she went diving on Looe Key Reef with Looe Key Reef Resort and Dive Center. Two nice easy, shallow dives. The highlight was seeing and following a spotted manta ray that must have been 7 feet across.

On February 25, we changed campgrounds. On the way, we stopped at Bahia Honda State Park again since we knew the parking was easy and the cellular signal was good. J had to work, C finished up her work early and went out for a bit more snorkeling … and another sunburn. You would think she would learn, but no!

We parked at Riptide RV Resort & Marina while C went diving with Conch Republic Divers on a dive trip arranged by Brass Anchor Scuba of Frederick, Maryland. Since the weather was warm, we decided to stay in the keys a couple more days at Pelican RV Resort & Marina. C got a few more dives in and practiced with her new underwater camera.
